Learning outcomes:
Upon completion of the study programme/the students will be able to:
- Explain key concepts in functional domains of maritime management, logistics, accounting, finances, marketing and technologies;
- Assess legal, social and economic specificities of the environment in which the maritime companies perform;
- Describe and explain ethical obligations and responsibilities of the ship owners responsibilities, port management and other relevant subjects in a vast spectrum of maritime activities;
- Apply tools which are support in a decision-making process in maritime affairs;
- Design and present verbal and written methods of professional communication in business practice in maritime affairs in national and English language;
- Apply knowledge in domain of contemporary business concepts and functions in shipping in an integrated way;
- Use knowledge in basic social and natural sciences applied in maritime affairs;
- Know and use specific maritime-related terminology in the English language;
- Apply specific knowledge in domain of customs performance, forwarding business and marine insurance in maritime affairs;
- Know the systems of economic, managerial and logistic operations of the ports;
- Know the forms and models of functioning of shipping companies;
- Develop models of adapting the Montenegrin economy to worlds tendencies in this domain;
- Show skills and knowledge in team work;
- Know modern system of maritime transport;
- Use accomplished knowledge in the aim of improving competencies of the Montenegrin maritime companies involved in the system of maritime transportation.
